Artist development visionary and CEO of Star Factory, Brandon Smith, is looking to expand his winning team to enable continued growth and expansion for 4 year company, Star Factory Artist Development LLC. Star Factory is in the planning stages of launching multimedia, public relations and event planning wings to its already impressive business model. We are looking to fill unpaid internship positions in the following areas
Personal Assistants: Everybody knows that assistants run company’s while the execs sit back and take all the credit. Well that’s not the case here at Star Factory, we WILL DEFINITELY give you credit!!
-Must have a bike, car or skateboard, a cell phone with cool games on it, a way with words, 90% of the people you meet must like you, an eye/ear for fashion and talent, and most importantly wake up every morning with a burning desire to explore and conquer the music industry.
A&R: Our A&Rs represent the frontline of customer service in discovering, consulting, and managing SF clients and artists. Our theory is that A&R’s must in essence possess psychic like abilities to gage readiness, dedication, likability and longevity of potential superstar talents…in addition to having an extraordinary eye and ear for talent.
-Must have Madonna, Billy Joel, R Kelly, and Flo Rida in your music collection, must have respect for 3 of Soulja Boy’s last 6 singles, must always wear nice kicks, must have strong relationship building skills, must keep a Coke and a smile, and must be the most likable person you know.
Promotions: All individuals in this department usually have stronger legs than lips. If Star Factory is the Bentley of Artist Development, then our promotions department is the high octane gas that is needed to fuel such a finely crafted machine.
-Must understand and believe in our 7 laws of promotion, must be able to manage, maintain and participate in an awesome street team, must also be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, must have the ability to be in 3 places at once, and possess the ultimate MAKE IT HAPPEN mentality.
Event Planning & Marketing: Our events division, headed by former Bad Boy exec, Andrena Hale, is poised to “redefine” the scope of event planning…literally, we just got off the phone with Webster’s Dictionary.
-Must be the coolest person you know, must have over 507 contacts in your phone, must exude swag and sexy, must know all the txt msg shorthand lol, be uber fashion forward, and must be relevant in all the social networking sites.
Creative Marketing: Advertising exec Gary Dahl, made over a million dollars selling Pet Rocks…..any more questions?? At Star Factory, we offer an amazing service, create incredible music, and promote phenomenal talents, all of which are relevant (more relevant than a pet rock) in today’s entertainment marketplace. So insert the next Gary Dahl (YOU) and Lets Make History!
-Must have been a world renown painter, poet, or philosopher in a previous life, must have had a lemonade stand as a youngster, must have the ability to think outside the box, must be a horrible speller, must have more than one favorite color, must think you have A.D.D. but not really because that would hinder your ability to become the next great marketing genius.
Operations: Operations is engine that makes this machine purr like a high octane vehicle. This is the department responsible for allowing all of the above departments to work in perfect cohesive euphoric harmony (real Brandy Full Moon-like harmony)
-Must possess a perfect blend of left and right brainedness (yes it’s a word because our marketing department just made it up), must be smarter than your parents, must actually like the word “work”, must know that the small things really matter, and be so organized that you have a Chip Clip™ for every bag of potato chips in your kitchen.
Multimedia: Each week our video production, graphic design, web programming, and creative marketing dept will be forced to talk, smile and create with each other in a plush conference room. The goal is to create continued fantablous brand awareness for the Star Factory name, our flagship service, Get Made, as well as our awesome staff of choreographers, stage coaches, and vocal trainers.
-Must have a genuine desire to grow and excel in the area of graphic, web and/or video, must have Nerd Swag™, must know why green is the most creative color, must own a very reliable computer/laptop and have a name for it like Voltar, and must have the hook up at the Mac Store.
PR: Publicists are like the choreographers of the business world, their job is to make companies and celebrities look like a million bucks! Since we already possess that golden image (wink), we are looking for future PR superstars who can help us maintain our über impressive public persona.
-Must understand smoke and mirrors, must have a penchant for big words, must enjoy the fact that we just said “penchant”, must be able to talk your way out of any speeding ticket, must overuse terms of endearment, and must mistakenly use this phrase when calling friends “are you on deadline?”
College degrees are encouraged for all positions, but require at 2 years of college and/or experience in the respective department that is applied for.
We are also looking for individuals who would excel in the areas of Hip-Hop Dance Choreography, Sales, Merchandising, New Business Development, and Personal Styling/Imaging.
